Travel and tourism together make up one of Minnesota's strongest industries with an economic impact of more than $10 billion per year, approximately $25 million per day. Employment in leisure and hospitality is projected to increase by nearly 150,000 jobs between 2000 – 2010. This 19.2% increase makes tourism the second fastest growing industry in Minnesota.

TMA is a strong advocate for tourism as a contributor to Minnesota’s economic development. Regardless of business type or size, TMA needs member and community involvement to continue promoting and building this valuable industry.
